Each of these organizations is a member of Sparking Life Recovery, an organization based on the work of Dr. John Ratey, an expert on the impact of exercise on brain health. Their mission is to promote and support organizations who are harnessing the power of exercise and camaraderie to help others overcome addiction.

Boston Bulldogs Running Club

The Boston Bulldogs Running Club is a co-ed 501(c)3 non-profit club established to provide an anonymous and safe community of support for all those adversely affected by addiction - those in recovery, their families and friends, the clinical community and the community at large.​

Running2BWell's motto is "Stronger With Every Step".  We meet regularly to help those struggling (and their families) with addiction or mental health issues to encourage a healthier lifestyle! We mainly use walking/running but also include resistance training.

Tree House Recovery uses a Harvard endorsed approach to addiction treatment which focuses on the mind/body connection. Their holistic addiction treatment promotes sustainable change through brotherhood, fitness and knowledge.

Kinetic Recovery Therapy
Kinetic Recovery Therapy was created to bring something innovative, effective and powerful to the mental health space. Kinetic Recovery was originally developed for people who suffer from addiction. It has since been designed to be an effective treatment model that can address anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, and other mental health and developmental issues.

Temperance Training

Temperance Training is an inclusive community of men and women who have recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body and who value spiritual and physical fitness. We offer free CrossFit classes six days a week for anyone affected by the disease of addiction. Attendees must have 24 hours or more of continuous sobriety.

Hanley Foundation’s mission is to provide substance use prevention and education programs for parents, caregivers and school-age children. In addition, the foundation provides financial aid scholarships for patients who could not otherwise afford addiction treatment.
