Exercise and Addiction Recovery
Our Three Course Series
This 3-part online education series is intended to present the benefits of goal-oriented group exercise as part of an addiction treatment program, and then show you how to bring these benefits to the clients you serve.

The first course focuses on the structural, functional and neurochemical changes in the brain associated with regular moderate aerobic activity on brain health, and how these changes support recovery. The second course briefly reviews additional benefits of exercise, and focuses on how training together as a community, toward a challenging goal, further supports addiction recovery. The third course helps you turn this new knowledge into results by providing guidance on how to implement a successful program within an addiction recovery community. Each course is designed to stand on its own and includes a brief overview of the material presented in the other courses.

In the spirit of 'practice what we preach', you can experience what you will be learning about. Each course is a narrated PowerPoint presentation. No need to sit in front of a screen for two hours. You can grab your phone, put in your earbuds, and enjoy a walk, hike or run while listening and glancing down every minute or two at each new slide.

Get fit while learning. Come back feeling educated and energized.
